Now that our basil plants are growing into huge plants, it’s time to make our yearly batches of pesto. I love fresh pesto, but let’s face it, you can only eat just so much pesto at a time. There’s no way I can keep up with these basil plants. However, it’s possible to make it now while the basil is available and freeze it for winter use when the price of processed pesto reaches it’s peak.
