  • Even though this recipe calls for peaches, I prefer to call this Fruit Slab Pie. This is because it’s so easy to substitute your favorite fruits in this recipe. You can use fresh, canned or frozen fruit, depending on what you have on hand or your preferences to make this fruit slab pie. The crust used in this recipe is very good and it’s also used for the crumble topping.

      1 cup rolled oat2 cup all purpose flour1 cup butter1/2 – 3/4 cup sugar3-5 tablespoon of ice water if needed


      3/4 cup canned peaches drained (29 0z can)1/4 cup sugar1/3 cup flour

      Note from Gloria: If using fresh fruits add juice of one lemon or citric acid (available in the spice or canning section) to keep fruit from browning
